Michelle works with clients who are confronting a variety of life challenges using highly effective cognitive-behavioral approaches, such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). From a positive, supportive, collaborative stance she helps clients develop strategies for coping with stress, anxiety, and depression, learn effective problem-solving skills, identify personal strengths, and work toward achieving a client's life goals. Given her extensive professional experience in many different settings, both corporate and clinical, she brings a deep understanding for the competing demands on her client's time and energies and helps them find their emotional and wellness balance.
While maintaining separate independent private practices, Michelle and I often work collaboratively with couples to address both individual issues (Michelle) and couples issues (me). Our clients find our team approach very helpful as we both value the bonds of marriage. You need not worry that Michelle will be working to convince you to exit your relationship - rather, she helps clients explore and connect with their deeper needs and values and teaches them to "show up differently" in their relationships, so that they can get their needs met more effectively.
